University of Chicago Scoping Study

GRC helped broker a strategic connection between the University of Chicago and the Electricity Company of Ghana for an energy-focused scoping study.

We also managed fieldwork logistics, ensuring a seamless data collection process for an impactful, contextually grounded study. Research covered 130 surveys and 30 In depth interviews with 2 types of stakeholders over 3 days in deprived areas of the capital.

Obeyaa has done fantastic work getting our research project off the ground in Accra. She helped make the process of engaging government stakeholders efficient and painless thanks to her local expertise and knowledge of the research process.

Bureau of Market and Social Research

Conducted qualitative and quantitative research to understand attitudes, beliefs, and patterns regarding a child pain reliever drug. GRC coordinated interviews with a wide range of stakeholders, including doctors, nurses, midwives, mothers, and caretakers, followed by data analysis and report writing.

Research covered 690 surveys, 90 In depth interviews, 60 In-clinic immersions and 20 Focus Group discussions with 5 types of stakeholders over 60 days in 6 regions of the country.

I am pleased to recommend Obeyaa, with whom I have successfully worked on several research projects. She consistently brings a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a proactive approach that drives projects forward. Her collaborative spirit and commitment to excellence make her an asset to any team.

DMI Research Partnership

Supported a study aimed at understanding the labour rights awareness of farmers in Ghana's Western North region. GRC facilitated on-the-ground interviews with local farmers, community leaders and government representatives, gathering essential information to inform a media campaign on labour rights in the agricultural sector. Research covered 22 In depth interviews with 7 types of stakeholders over 2 days in rural Ghana.

I would highly recommend Obey as a research consultant. I was particularly impressed by her ability to get up to speed rapidly on a project in which fieldwork had to be conducted at extremely short notice and by her ability to adapt as the research project evolved.

Harvard University Reasearch Project

Conducted in-depth research on Ghana’s teacher hiring, firing, and promotion processes to inform a PhD fellowship project.

This involved interviewing stakeholders, including the organization Lead for Ghana, to gather insights and craft recommendations for the Ghanaian Ministry of Education.

Obeyaa and I worked on a grant funded research project while students at Harvard. She helped me build connections for the research and also provided insightful (and well organized) analysis. I had a great experience working with her and recommend her services without reservation!
